The Technology

Biomass Contains Carbon, Hydrogen & Oxygen molecules Complete Combustion would produce Carbon-di-oxide (CO2) and water vapours (H2O). Where as Combustion under controlled conditions i.e. partial combustion produces Carbon monoxide (CO) and Hydrogen (H2) which are both Combustible gases.

  

Solid biomass fuels which are usually inconvenient and have low efficiency of utilization can thus be convested into a high quality gaseous fuel.

  

”Urja“ Biomass Gasifier is a thermochemical catalytic converter/Reacter where various physical & chemical reactions takes places. Biomass is passed through various Zones – Drying/ Distillation Zone, Pyrolysis Zone, Combustion Zone & Reduction Zone.

When the biomass is passed through all the above Zones, it gets converted into a high quality combustible gas called Producer Gas. Producer Gas is a low caloric, low pressure gas that can be combusted for low cost heat & Power generation etc.
